Your questions about camp photo sharing
Who can see the photos of the kids?
Only the people you invite: the album is not public, and you only get in by invitation. The organizer can remove any content, and every parent can request the removal of their child's image. Eventer is GDPR-compliant, with servers in Europe, and claims no rights over your content.
Do we need to install an app?
Everyone has the choice: without an app via the web page, or with the app (App Store, Google Play) — we explain the differences. Either way, one click on the invitation link (or a scan of the QR code) is enough — for leaders and parents alike.
Can parents just watch?
Of course: taking part is optional. Many parents simply follow the camp — and a like or a little comment always makes the camp's day.
Why not just share the photos in the WhatsApp group?
Many camps have a group with the parents, and it keeps its role — for the messages that matter. Photos are less at home there: they drown out the practical info and end up in everyone's camera roll. In the private Eventer album, everyone views them when they want, reacts with a like, and the leaders keep control of who sees what. The two work together: messages in the group, memories in the album.
What kind of camp does it work for?
All of them: summer camp, scout camp, guides, cub scouts, sports camp, school trip… every camp has its own private album and its families.
How do we handle image rights for the kids?
The private album keeps everything within the circle you invite — nothing goes to social networks. The organizer stays in control: one-click removal, moderation, exclusion. Parental permissions remain your usual process; Eventer gives you the technical control to match.
What if the connection is bad at camp?
Eventer is built for event networks: saturated wifi, spotty 4G, dropouts — everything keeps working, and interrupted uploads resume automatically as soon as the network comes back. No one has to do anything, nothing is lost.
Is there a limit to the number of photos or videos?
No: the number of photos and videos is unlimited, even in the free version.
Can photos/videos be added after the camp?
Of course: latecomers can add their photos and videos after the camp is over. Everyone will be notified.
Will the photos disappear after a few months?
No. Unlike most solutions, your Eventer albums remain accessible for as long as you wish — a year from now, ten years from now, until next year's camp and beyond.
How do I get all the photos after the camp?
By default we keep the event for you indefinitely (unless you delete your event). If you wish, though, you can retrieve the photos/videos in a few clicks from your smartphone or computer.
How much does Eventer cost for a camp?
The essentials are free: private album, unlimited guests, unlimited photos and videos, After Movie. For a camp, you probably won't need anything more.
